So on Tuesday the 16th of January we went to Brinkley Arkansas where my husband was giving a bid on a big commercial job when I say we that would be me my husband his Secretary and the guy that is biding on the siding work my husband is the owner of James Bullington & Son Roofing and our roofing business is now state licensed in Arkansas and Oklahoma so we went to give out a bid on a big job. We'll my point to this post would be that when we got there at 10:00 am it started to sleet really bad and being that far away from home really stunk in the first place but with it sleeting it was worse I hate hate to drive in that kind of weather well he had to sit in a meeting for about 30 min to go over plans and then had to do a walk through of the whole place that needs new roofs so that took about a few hours. Well we finally got done and was heading out and I said to my husband lets get gas here before we get on the interstate so we did just that and no more than a 10 min drive down the interstate we were in a traffic jam of no other it was 1:30 that afternoon and up the interstate a big truck wrecked going over the White River Bridge and the bridge was iced over so they had to sand it so other trucks and cars could get over it. Needless to say it was a night mare from heck out there. We had to pee out on the side of the road in between the truck doors and we hand nothing to eat all day or drink either other than what we had a 6:00 am and that was coffee to drink with nothing to eat. Always keep a little travel pack in your car or truck for days like this. We even needed blankets because it was so cold out that it was really hard to keep warm with out burning someone else up in the same car. I also have a few pictures not the greatest but they will work one is of a trucker that wouldn't let people by that were trying to turn around and drive on the shoulder to get back to the exit that we got on in Brinkley because they were running out of gas this trucker wasn't having it at all. He pulled his truck half on and off the road and on the shoulder not sure why it was hurting him not like they were trying to cut in front of him they were going the other way but what they would find out as did we if you tried to do that the state troopers were back there giving tickets out to the people that were trying to go back and find another route or if they needed gas. I really do not see how lots of people didn't run out of gas as long as we had to sit there thank goodness I was on top of us getting gas when we did or I
really think we would have been stuck.
