Guess What It's Thankful Thursday..

Have you ever known someone who just wears you out emotionally….for me, the most tiresome thing is a negative attitude. I don’t know what to say to that person who can’t seem to find anything to be joyful about. Well, even if they could see a positive, bright side of things, once in a while, now that would be nice. You know, if being joyful is just too over the top.

I think I’ve always been a pretty positive person, but once in a while, I would get in a rut. A couple of years ago, at the suggestion of a friend, I started to write down the things that I had to be thankful for, in a list form. When I was in one of those down in the dumps moods, she suggested that I take it out and read it. When you’re down it’s sometimes hard to see any good. The list helped to remind me, that I am blessed and have a great deal to be thankful for. It really works! It’s hard to stay negative when you have all of this good staring you in the face. Plus, the fact that you’ve already acknowledged that they are blessings, makes it pretty hard to discount them.

There are still those things that are not perfect, the things that I wish were different, but I choose to focus on the good. I know, that the not so perfect things, are just as they are supposed to be, at that moment, because nothing happens on accident in God’s world. So I do my best to leave those things in God’s hands. Yes, sometimes I take them back for a bit, and worry, but eventually I will give them back to Him. My Gratitude list has kept my attitude in check. I enjoy having an attitude of gratidute. The other day, I was looking forward to November so I could document something new each day until Thanksgiving. (Sorry I know some of you are saying, don’t rush it!)I have been posting things about Christmas on my facebook page and people are getting all upset so I will listen to you all just this once and try you see I SAID TRY not to RUSH things.. Here is a list that I am thankful for and so much more.

I am so very thankful for people like you my blogger friends…who like to write! So I have blogs to read.I’m thankful for your blog so I get to see and hear what you and your familys are up to. It’s great to keep in touch this way! I’m so thankful I started following so many of your blogs! I am also thankful for my followers although my blog isn't always on the up and up it is our day to day Journey of my wonderful family.

I am so very thankfuul for my Country election day. While I grow tired of politicking and mudslinging and polarizing arguments, I’m forcing myself to focus on the positives: the freedom to vote without fear of harassment or retribution is indeed a gift and privilege. I am mostly proud to be an American. I am very thankful for all.

I am so very thankful for my friends.Online and offline….. Much Love to you all. Thank you for your friendship. It means the world to me. Sincerely.I have some of the BEST FRIENDS EVER!!

I am thankful so very thankful for my loving husband. I’m thankful God has given us a strong marriage. I have many single friends who’d rather not be single, and not everyone who is married can say they have a strong marriage. He’s smart and funny and fun to be with. He’s willing to compromise when we don’t see eye to eye. I am extremely thankful for the person he is.

I am thankful for My Good Health here lately it seems I’m hearing more and more stories of cancer or unexpected death or disease all around me. And it’s not just older people, but people near my own age. I do not want to take my good health for granted. It’s a blessing from God, and today I’m focusing on being a good caretaker of the body and health He’s given me.
